Our History

Woodfield Manor, a Sundance Vacations Property, has a rich history dating back to 1808. Originally, the Inn was an exclusive hunting lodge and stagecoach stop for wealthy patrons from New York and New Jersey, boasting a bathroom and wooden sink.
In the 1950s, the new owners expanded the Inn, adding a swimming pool, tennis courts and the cottages. This helped to build a thriving seasonal business where families could vacation for a week at a time in the beautiful Poconos Mountains.

After another extensive renovation, the Manor now houses six manor suites, ten cottages, four apartment-style suites and an upscale steakhouse, The Frogtown Chophouse. Every cottage and apartment-style suite features a gas fireplace and is ideal for a romantic excursion or week-long stay.

Decorated in rich wooded tones, guests will enjoy the quiet serenity of this twelve-acre Inn with its inviting in-ground swimming pool, fine dining restaurant, and natural wood surroundings.
