Recently we’ve been fortunate to have several days of great weather, and the Poconos is one of the best places in Pa. to experience nature and being outdoors, in any season. After an icy winter, I think we’re all ready for sun and fresh air. When we can, Keith and I enjoy walking the property looking for inspiration and ways to enjoy our little part of the “great outdoors” here at Woodfield Manor. Plans are already in place for a few small gardens for our guests to enjoy.
Our pool is now open with patio furnature in place, just waiting for Chris , our favorite landscaper to return and add his finishing touches of stone, plants and trees to make it a great place to relax, day or night, enjoying a drink, some conversation, and even sunset at day’s end.
Time and again I’ve been asked how we came to be named Woodfield Manor. You only have to look outside to our surrounding 12 acres to see. Under a canopy of tall pines rising over 70 ft, an area we call the “The Grove”, is where our cozy cottages sit, just a short distance from the main manor and our fine dining restaurant, The Chophouse.
Each morning as I “walk” my commute to the office on “the winding road”, the look of the grove still catches my imagination. I’ve been stopped in my tracks on days when the sun filters to the forest floor illuminating the woods like a natural cathedral or walking home each evening I find the trees framing a perfect yellow moon.

So come to Woodfield Manor in the Poconos and share with us your own impressions of The Grove.
I’m so glad to announce the launch of the new Woodfield Manor blog. I can guarantee that launching this blog was alot easier than our hotel launch back in February. After several months of little sleep I may actually get some free time to blog. Our first several months have been very successful. The hotel has been very busy right from the start with travelers from Sundance Vacations and Travel Advantage Network.
I am looking forward to sharing all of the accolades we have received so far from very satisfied travelers. I’ve been told that we’ve been receiving very high ratings and for that I am very grateful to every traveler whom we have had the pleasure of meeting.
Consider Woodfield Manor for your next trip to the Poconos.
